Job Description:

Market Research Analyst, Automotive Electronics

As the primary researcher for the company, you will research and analyze current and future trends that will impact the business in the automotive and electronics market.
-Research and prepare presentations on critical customer, and market trends.
-Analyze customer needs, perceptions, and behavior through a combination of proprietary and syndicated customer research studies.
-Contribute to the analysis of market environments and future trends; make recommendations based on findings.
-Collect and analyze data on customer demographics, preferences, needs, and buying habits to identify potential markets and factors affecting product demand.
-Conduct research on consumer opinions and marketing strategies, collaborating with other internal departments and professionals.
-Monitor industry statics and follow trends in trade literature.
-Analyze current research and statistical techniques, and evaluate the latest research developments to develop new market research methods.
-Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data (surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires), or arrange to obtain existing data.
-Track industry trends, relevant legislation, and competitor activities as it relates to consumer electronics and safety.
-Identify promising areas of research or technology that addresses unmet needs and have large potential markets.
-Facilitate research methods, such as survey, opinion poll, or questionnaire, and designs means for collecting data for each project.
-Work with 3rd party service providers as needed in conducting surveys and focus groups to analyze customer patterns, preferences, and factors affecting the organization's business effectiveness.
-Research market conditions and assist in conducting feasibility studies to determine market demand for existing and new products or services.
-Prepare reports, including charts and graphs, and presents recommendations for action plans to management.
-Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in automotive related market research and analysis, preferably in electronics.
-Strong interest and knowledge of consumer electronics and automotive industry is desirable.
-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office.  Data analysis program skills are essential.
