Java Software Engineer, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD

We are seeking a Java Software Engineer to join an existing team. The Java Software Engineer will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language. The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage development requirements and activities within the team. Telework is available on an ad hoc, “as tasking allows” basis according to what is in the current sprint. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This is a 100% Onsite position and not open for Hybrid and/or Remote.

Java Software Engineer Qualifications:

– Must have an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
– 20 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of a similar scope, type and complexity is required.
– Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 years of additional Software Engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
– Familiar with Gitlab, Maven, Confluence and Jira.
– Debugging and testing software programs.
– Development of software applications.

Java Software Engineer Highly Desired Qualifications:

– Understanding of AWS and Cloud environment/infrastructure.
– In depth and strong experience with Linux.
– NiFi Dataflow experience with custom processors, creating and/or leveraging existing ones.
– Troubleshooting data fail points including minimizing latency.
– Need experience with Java, Python, and Scripting.
– Familiarity with containers and container orchestration systems such as Docker and Kubernetes.
