Software Engineer, TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph Security Clearance Required, Onsite in Annapolis Junction, MD

We are seeking a Software Engineer to implement, test, and operate using advanced software security techniques in compliance with the technical reference architecture to enhance software systems. Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with a Full Scope Polygraph security clearance. This is a 100% Onsite position and not open for Hybrid and/or Remote.

Software Engineer Responsibilities:

– Perform on-going security testing and participate in code reviews to improve software security and features.
– Debug, design, and code new software or modify existing software.
– Provide and recommend engineering designs for new software solutions to help mitigate security vulnerabilities.
– Contribute to all levels of architecture and maintain technical documentation.
– Collaborate with team members and exchange knowledge on secure coding practices.
– Ability to develop a familiarity with new tools and best practices.

Software Engineer Qualifications:

– Must have an active TS/SCI Full Scope Polygraph security clearance.
– Need at least 7 years of experience as a Software Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
– Need a Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. 4 years of additional Software Engineer experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree
– Demonstrated work experience in Java development.
– 6 years of experience developing software using Java programming language or C/C++.
– A minimum of 6 years of demonstrated experience out of the most recent 8 years developing production software for Solaris or Linux environments.
– Demonstrated work experience with Opensource (NoSQL) products such as Hbase, Accumulo, Big Table, etc.
– Demonstrated work experience developing RESTful services.
– Experience with Kubernetes.
– Previous experience developing analytics applications.
